MONTRÉAL, September 24, 2026 – La Guilde is announcing the return of its webinar series Les midis de La Guilde, along with a themed fall season in three episodes dedicated to artificial intelligence and its place in our industry. Anchored in the productivity and competitiveness pillar of our 2026-2029 strategic plan, this first series will explore both the opportunities and the challenges raised by AI, in order to give studios and their teams some landmarks to find their way.

AI: how it works (or doesn’t): demystifying machine learning
The first session of the AI season of Les midis de La Guilde offers an accessible overview of the foundations of modern artificial intelligence (machine learning, generative AI), to understand how these tools work and why they sometimes fail. It provides a common foundation for the next two webinars in the series, which will focus on concrete studio use cases and on legal and governance issues.
