An initiative by La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec, in partnership with Beenox

Montreal, September 14, 2023 – La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec is pleased to announce the launch of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Best Practices Guide, presented by Beenox. Available free of charge to its members, this tool is designed to help video game companies integrate DEI principles into their internal activities and processes.

As part of La Guilde’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan, this guide has been designed and adapted to the specific reality of our industry. This multi-disciplinary tool is the fruit of collaboration between several organizations specializing in the development of inclusive workplaces : Élance, L’Aparté, Institut EDI2 and RIQEDI. Divided into four sections, it defines and demystifies DEI concepts while proposing concrete organizational actions. The Guide also includes templates for workplace policies and job offers, case studies and a list of external resources to further support studios.

“La Guilde is very pleased to offer this tool, which sheds light on recognized practices that promote inclusive workspaces. This Guide contributes to the continuous improvement of our industry by responding to the needs of our members in a concrete way. We’d like to thank our partner Beenox, as well as our collaborators who helped make this project a reality,” says Béatrice Desjardins-Gagnon, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisor at La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec.

“Beenox is proud to partner up with La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec to present this DEI Best Practices Guide, which aims to provide concrete tools to promote diversity of talent and perspectives in our ecosystem,” adds Nour Polloni, Studio Director, Beenox.
