ST\u00c9PHANIE MARCHAND APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF THE GUILD<\/b>E<\/b><\/p>\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMontreal, October 23, 2024<\/b> \u2013 The Quebec Video Game Guild is pleased to announce the appointment of St\u00e9phanie Marchand as Chair of its Board of Directors. St\u00e9phanie Marchand previously served as Vice Chair of the Guild and succeeds Christopher Chancey, CEO of Manavoid Divertissements studio.\r\n\r\nA seasoned president who proudly represents independent studios<\/b>\r\n\r\nSt\u00e9phanie Marchand began her career in the video game industry more than 20 years ago as a programmer. Her passion for game development, project management, and training new managers led her to hold numerous positions, including team lead\u2014programming, producer and executive producer, and vice president of production for Behaviour's Services business unit, before being appointed senior vice president of Production at Behaviour, the largest independent studio in Quebec and Canada.\r\n\r\nSt\u00e9phanie has participated in more than 45 game development cycles in partnership with industry giants such as Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, King, Warner Brothers, Sony, and Activision. She is also committed to encouraging young girls and women to pursue careers in science and technology.\r\n\r\n\"It is an honor for me to become president of La Guilde. I am proud to represent our industry and am committed to representing the voices of our nearly 350 members and partners across the board's various issues. I would like to thank Christopher Chancey for his dedication and involvement as president over the past few years, including throughout the pandemic.
