Mission 

La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec is the result of the merger of Alliance numérique and La Guilde des développeurs de jeux vidéo du Québec to form a single representative. As a new member, you join the strength of more than 240 independent and international studios, educational institutions and entrepreneurs in related fields established in Quebec. 

ITS VISION: AN AMBITIOUS VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY THAT IS A WORLD LEADER AND SETS THE TRENDS FOR TOMORROW’S VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY. 

THE SCOPE OF ITS MISSION: 

  • To support member studios by offering a wide range of services and activities throughout the province.
  • Encouraging creativity and innovation, while providing support for entrepreneurship
  • Acting as the sole proactive representative of the industry to public authorities at all levels, around industrial policies by implementing projects that are beneficial for all.
  • Contribution to educational institutions to ensure the quality and diversity of the workforce as well as the continuing education of the workforce
  • Partnering for growth, compétitivité́ and industry-wide outreach 
  • Promoting locally and internationally Québec’s video game industry and support its development as a global hub

La Guilde brings together independent and international video game developers, creators, educational institutions and entrepreneurs in related fields based in Quebec. Its vision is to cultivate fertile ground for the industry in order to maintain and strengthen Québec’s status as a world leader in the video game sector through the collaboration of its players. La Guild is a world leader in this sector and, with 245 members, is the largest group of its kind in the world.

Its main mandate is to promote the Québec video game industry locally and internationally and to support its development as a global hub with the objective of making Québec the international reference in video games by creating a strong, sustainable and diversified ecosystem. La Guilde works closely with its members to develop and ensure the quality and diversity of the workforce, encourage creativity and innovation, implement structuring projects, while providing support for entrepreneurship.

The Guild’s board of directors is composed of 17 directors, representatives of member studios, elected at the annual general meeting. A maximum of two seats may be co-opted to complement the board’s knowledge in relevant areas of expertise.
