La Caravane – Video Game Entrepreneur’s Tour

On May 4, 2023, La Caravane, the video game entrepreneurs’ tour, stopped in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean!

This edition brought together more than 40 independent studios and gave them the opportunity to meet XBOX-Game pass, and to participate in a weekend of networking, training and discovery of the local video game ecosystem.

Including a stop in Quebec City for La Catapulte’s finals, in collaboration with Quebec EPIX, the studios met with experts in commercialization, financing and marketing. Alongside industry veterans Jason Della Rocca and Pierre Moisan, and with the presence of XBOX – Game Pass, one of the largest video game publishers, they improved their pitch and developed business opportunities during professional exchanges in a close environment.

A kiosk fair was organized at La Pulperie in Chicoutimi in order to introduce the studios, their game projects and the industry’s future professions to the general public and to students in the region.

The Caravan is the annual networking event for independent studios.

The Caravan 2023 is presented by Ubisoft, founding partner, La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec and Quebec EPIX. In partnership with CAE, Investissement Québec International, Synthèse,  Xsolla, l’UQAC, INKUB Desjardins, Promotion Saguenay, the Government of Québec and Global Affairs Canada.
